The 2021 college football bowl season is set to kick off on Dec. 17 with the Bahamas Bowl and the Cure Bowl. The College Football Playoff semifinal matchup on Dec. 31 will draw a lot of betting attention with No. 1 Alabama taking on No. 4 Cincinnati and No. 2 Michigan taking on No. 3 Georgia. Caesars Sportsbook lists the Crimson Tide at -13.5, while the Bulldogs are -7.5 in the latest college football odds for bowl season. But with dozens of other matchups unfolding in that time span, there are a lot of lines to consider.
Before making any college football picks for those games or others during bowl season, be sure to see what the SportsLine Projection Model has to say.
The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times.
Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated a stunning profit of almost $3,700 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. It also enters the 2021-22 college football bowl season on a 43-29 run on all top-rated college football side picks. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.
Now, it has studied the latest college football odds from Caesars Sportsbook (see the latest college football lines for each matchup this week on our college football odds page), simulated every single play for bowl season, and the results are in.
One of the college picks the model is high on during bowl season: No. 16 Oklahoma (-3) covers against No. 14 Oregon in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 29 at 9:15 p.m. ET. The model projects that it is Oklahoma's offense that makes the biggest impact here. OU quarterback Caleb Williams throws for over 250 yards in the simulations as the Sooners put up 34 points for interim head coach Bob Stoops. They cover almost 60 percent of the time, while the under (61.5) also hits in almost 60 percent of simulations.
Another prediction: Auburn (-3) covers against No. 23 Houston in the Birmingham Bowl on Dec. 28. The Tigers went just 6-6, but played a rugged schedule that included six ranked team. They should have a lot of confidence after giving Alabama a huge scare in the Iron Bowl. SportsLine's model has Auburn covering almost 60 percent of the time, while the over (52) hits more than 50 percent of the time.
The model has also made the call on who wins and covers in every other bowl matchup, and it says MULTIPLE UNDERDOGS are will win outright. You ABSOLUTELY need to see its college football picks before locking in any of your own.
